This cake was designed for a surprise 25th wedding anniversary party. The asymmetrical stacked tiers are decorated with an ornate red damask pattern. Orange bands run across the top and bottom of each tier. Topping off the decorations are red gumpaste roses in addition to an orange “25” to represent 25 years of a happy marriage. Flavors included Vanilla cake layered with fresh strawberries and whip cream and Red velvet cake with a layer of cream cheese buttercream and a layer of mascarpone cheese buttercream filling.
